Synthesis of Silicotungstic Acid/Ni-Zr-O Composite Nanoparticle by Using Bimetallic Ni-Zr MOF for Fatty Acid Esterification

In this study, the bimetallic Ni-Zr MOF-derived nickel-zirconium oxide (Ni-Zr-O)-impregnated silicotungstic acid (HSiW) nanocomposite catalyst (HSiW@Ni-Zr-O) was prepared via a hydrothermal procedure followed by pyrolysis treatment, and its structural, morphological, surface components oxidation states were characterized using XRD, FTIR, TPD-NH3, SEM, TEM, N2 physisorption, XPS analyses. Then, catalysts successfully applied to esterification of oleic (OA) with methanol. According characteristics, obtained HSiW@Ni-Zr-O-1 would generate larger pores, higher acidity, active interfaces at calcining temperature 300 °C. Therefore, exhibits an excellent catalytic activity 95.2% under optimal reaction conditions. Additionally, can be reused good after nine cycles. This study highlights opportunity MOFs as precursors synthesis highly nanoporous metal oxide, which supports larger-industrial scale production biofuels.
